Executive Chef William Hollinger

Chef Will Hollinger grew up in Sandwich and attended Sandwich High School. After graduating from The New England Culinary Institute in May of 1987, Will returned to Cape Cod as the Sous Chef and then the Head Chef of the Barnstable Tavern. After several seasons apprenticing at the Chanticleer on Nantucket under Chef Jean-Charles Berruet, Will came back to the Cape and enjoyed working as the chef at the Old Yarmouth Inn and The Barley Neck Inn.

In the intervening years, Will worked as a private chef in Naples Florida, took a sabbatical in Como, Italy, trained in New York, led the culinary team at the four diamond Three Mountain Inn, and consulted with many restaurant projects.  Will returned to the Cape as the chef at The Paddock and then The Regatta.  With all of this experience, we welcome him home to the Barley Neck Inn to continue what he started twenty years ago, when we opened with Will as our chef.

Will’s hobbies include salt water kayak fishing, mushroom foraging, snowboarding, playing guitar, and collecting old cook books. His 16 year old daughter enjoys many of the same interests as well as cooking and baking.
